According to ABC.AZ, the newly designed platform operates as an advanced AI agent capable of managing multi-step office operations simultaneously, allowing corporate users to build out complex documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and web applications. ChatGPT Work is powered by the GPT-5.6 engine, which was temporarily delayed by the Trump administration but officially hit the market this Thursday. The deployment directly counters Anthropic's "Claude Cowork" ecosystem launched earlier this year.

Concurrently, reports from Bloomberg News indicate that both OpenAI and Anthropic have filed confidentially for initial public offerings (IPOs). Anthropic is projected to make its Wall Street debut as early as this autumn, while OpenAI is actively evaluating its public listing options for next year.
