June 20, Fineko/abc.az. 713,000 foreign citizens and stateless persons from 176 countries visited Azerbaijan for the past 5 countries (1.5-fold more versus Jan-May 2022).

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that 32.4% of tourists came to our country from the Russian Federation, 20.0% from Türkiye, 8.1% from Iran, 5.2% from Georgia, 4.9% from India, 2.3% from Pakistan, 2.2% from Kazakhstan, 2.1% from the UAE, 2.0% from Saudi Arabia, 1.9% from Uzbekistan, 1.6% from Belarus, 1.5% from Ukraine, by 1.3% from the UK and Turkmenistan, 1.2% from Kuwait, and 12.0% from other countries.

74.1% of tourists who came to our country were men, 25.9% - women.

31.9% of those who arrived in Azerbaijan used rail and road transport, 66.6% traveled by air, and 1.5% by sea.

The number of Azerbaijani citizens who went abroad increased by 19.5% versus Jan-May 2022 and reached 633,600 people.
