August 26, Fineko/abc.az. During the first six months of this year, products worth 3.3 million AZN were manufactured in the Sabirabad Industrial Quarter, managed by the Economic Zones Development Agency (IZIA) under the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan. According to IZIA, this indicator represents a more than threefold increase compared to the same period of last year.

Additionally, product exports from the Industrial Quarter grew by 74 percent year-on-year in the first half of the year.

The Sabirabad Industrial Quarter was established by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated November 27, 2017. Covering an area of 20.3 hectares, the main priority sectors of the industrial quarter include household goods manufacturing, agricultural product processing, the food industry, and fertilizer production. Currently, 8 residents operate in the quarter, with total investments reaching 11.8 million AZN and creating over 100 jobs.
