August 25, Fineko/abc.az. The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation is drafting an official proposal to suspend floating export duties on wheat, barley, and corn until the end of 2026. This step aims to mitigate logistical challenges in shipping agricultural products through ports in the Azov-Black Sea basin, which handle over 70% of the country’s total grain exports.
To ease the impact of these issues, authorities are also evaluating the allocation of approximately 10 billion rubles in subsidies to support the transportation of agricultural goods by rail.
Additionally, plans to support the grain market include conducting purchases for the state intervention fund, extending repayment deadlines for subsidized agricultural loans, and providing direct financial assistance to farmers for every ton of grain sold.
