August 22, Fineko/abc.az. US President Donald Trump stated that the national economy is experiencing strong growth, which will easily overcome the challenges posed by the national debt exceeding $40 trillion.

Answering reporters' questions, Trump noted that the Treasury's decision to more than double its long-term bond buyback capacity was a strategic move led by Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.

Addressing rising consumer prices, Trump confirmed plans to import high-quality beef to reduce domestic costs. Furthermore, he highlighted that trade agreement talks with Canada are progressing well and that negotiations for a revised, more favorable deal with Mexico are currently underway.
