August 11, Fineko/abc.az. Kyrgyzstan plans to commission the first phase of a 100 MW solar power plant by September as part of its energy cooperation with Russia.

According to the Minister of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic, Altynbek Rysbekov, the second phase of the station, which is designed for a total capacity of 300 MW, will be launched in 2027.

Additionally, NovaWind (a subsidiary of Rosatom) is implementing a wind power project in the country, with initial equipment already delivered to Balykchy.

The Minister also identified the construction of a nuclear power plant as a prospective direction, noting that creating a specialized educational base and training local experts are prerequisites before making a final decision.
