August 10, Fineko/abc.az. Natural gas prices at the Dutch TTF hub reached €59.5 per megawatt-hour (MWh) for September contracts, marking an 8% increase compared to the previous day’s close of €55.5. Prices peaked at €60.5 per MWh during intra-day trading.

The price hike was driven by geopolitical uncertainties regarding shipping through the Strait of Hormuz following statements from Iran’s Foreign Ministry, alongside an impending European heatwave that is expected to boost electricity demand amid historically low gas storage levels.
