August 10, Fineko/abc.az. Gold prices slipped on Monday as investors engaged in profit-taking following a seven-week high, while markets turned their focus to upcoming U.S. inflation data.
Spot Gold: fell 0.5% to $4,322.28 per ounce.
U.S. Gold Futures: declined 0.4% to $4,381.60.
Other Metals: Silver dropped to $63.45, Platinum to $1,742.50, and Palladium to $1,362.97.
Slower U.S. employment growth has reduced expectations of a September Fed rate hike. Analysts view the pullback as a routine market consolidation rather than a trend shift, maintaining $4,300 as a strong short-term support level ahead of the key CPI and PPI releases.
