August 8, Fineko/abc.az. According to the Press Service of the President, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan made a phone call to President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on August 8.
During the phone call, the sides exchanged views on the first anniversary of the Peace Summit held in Washington on August 8, 2025, with the support of US President Donald Trump, as well as the initial initialing of the Peace Agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Both leaders highlighted the crucial role played by President Donald Trump and the US Government in advancing the peace process.
The sides emphasized that the development of economic and trade ties, the export of Azerbaijani petroleum products to Armenia, and transit cargo transportation represent tangible benefits of peace. Additionally, they discussed the implementation of the TRIPP route in accordance with the Washington agreements and reaffirmed the importance of continued efforts toward long-term regional stability, connectivity, and economic cooperation.
