June 19, Fineko/abc.az. 11 projects with the Islamic Development Bank Group (IsDB) for approx. $640 million are under implementation in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports that Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said this at the final press conference within the 51st annual IsDB meeting in Baku.

The minister noted that since Azerbaijan joined IsDB, the country's share in the bank's authorized capital has increased from 0.1% up to 1%.

"This is evidence of Azerbaijan's growing role in organization's activities. Our cooperation with IsDB was awarded the Order of Dostlug. Since the early years of independence, IsDB has been one of the first international financial institutions to provide support to Azerbaijan. During this time, the bank has financed 84 operations worth nearly $1.8 billion in key sectors - infrastructure, agriculture, energy, water management, transport and financial services. Most of those projects have already been successfully completed," Jabbarov added.
