March 3, Fineko/abc.az. Global aluminum supplies rose after U.S. President Donald Trump suggested that the military campaign against Iran could last several weeks.

ABC.AZ reports, referring to Bloomberg, that this increases the risk of more serious disruptions in metal exports from the Middle East.

Trump said that US military action was planned for four to five weeks, but could last longer, despite the fact that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth rejected the idea of an “endless war”.

“Any protracted conflict could lead to aluminum plants in countries such as the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia being left without raw materials and unable to produce aluminum,” the article says.

Aluminum is currently rising in price by almost 0.5% to $3,200 per ton. This happened after an increase of 1.7% on Monday, March 2.
