February 2, Fineko/abc.az. Last year, value added in the oil & gas sector of the economy decreased by 1.6% and in the non-oil/gas sector by 2.7%, ABC.AZ reports, quoting MP Vugar Bayramov as saying this at today's plenary session of the parliament.

He noted that growth rate of the non-oil/gas sector in industry was higher: "Last year, the non-oil/gas industry recorded growth of 5.5%. Despite the volatility in the energy markets, growth in the non-oil/gas sector strengthens the sustainability of economic development. This is the result of in-depth reforms carried out under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev. The reforms also accelerate the process of economic diversification. In 2026, the non-oil/gas sector will make up 57% of budget revenues and 68% of GDP."
