November 28, Fineko/abc.az. The copper market is experiencing severe turmoil due to the imbalance of supply and demand, the changing role of China and the uncertainty surrounding Donald Trump's trade policy.

ABC.AZ Informs that at the Asia Copper Week conference in Shanghai, participants spoke about the unprecedented pressure of mining companies on smelters and record low ore processing fees.

Traders expect a large-scale flow of refined copper to the U.S., which by the beginning of 2026 may accumulate up to 90% of global reserves, which will lead to shortages in other markets. Suppliers are already raising premiums, and analysts warn of the risk of metal shortages in the coming months.

Some experts believe that the introduction of new deposits and the replacement of copper with alternative materials will reduce tension over time.
