November 20, Fineko/abc.az. Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto will open the country's largest oil refinery by December, ABC.AZ reports, referring to portal Detik.

According to Subianto, the Balikpapan oil refinery will be put into operation by December 2025. It should meet from 22% to 25% of national fuel needs. It is noted that about 1.5% of the work remains to be completed before the opening.

The Balikpapan refinery is a national strategic project in which $7.4 billion has been invested. This project is one of the largest investments of an Indonesian state-owned enterprise in history.
