July 10, Fineko/abc.az. An important document, strengthening strategic partnership in the energy sector between Azerbaijan and Georgia, has been endorsed.
President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree approving the Azerbaijan-Georgia Intergovernmental Agreement on the Supply of Natural Gas to Georgia, signed in Baku on May 18, 2026.
Under the presidential decree, the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan is responsible for ensuring the implementation of the Agreement's provisions after it enters into force. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been tasked to notify the Georgian side about the completion of the domestic procedures necessary for the document's entry into force.
