October 31, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan and the World Bank discussed development of digital payments.

ABC.AZ informs that discussions were held at a meeting between Central Bank’s governor Taleh Kazimov and the WB delegation led by Asad Alam, Regional Director for Welfare in Europe and Central Asia, who is on a visit to our country.

During the meeting, the macroeconomic situation in the country, ongoing reforms in the financial sector, as well as issues related to development of digital payments were discussed.

At that, it was told about the work done and planned on Financial Sector Modernization Project 3, implemented by the WB in cooperation with the CBA. The detailed exchange of views was also held on WB’s activities in Azerbaijan and its future prospects.
