Cyber attack on Jaguar Land Rover cost 1.9 bn pounds for the company

October 22, Fineko/abc.az. British car company Jaguar Land Rover suffered damage of 1.9 bn pounds because of a cyberattack that led to suspension of production for more than a month.

ABC.AZ informs that this is stated in the results of the analysis of the Cyber Monitoring Center.

In particular, this includes company's losses from lower sales and the cost of rebuilding the IT infrastructure. At the same time, the amount of damage may be increased in case of unforeseen delays in the restoration of production.

"This event was the most economically devastating cyber incident in UK history," the company added.

The cyberattack on Jaguar Land Rover occurred in early September. The country's authorities noted that this incident had significant impact on supply chains throughout the automotive industry.
