April 5, Fineko/abc.az. An electronic map has been prepared by the State Agency for Water Resources to assess Azerbaijan's water resources.

ABC.AZ reports that Asad Shirinov, adviser to the chairman of the State Water Resources Agency of Azerbaijan, during an event in Baku on the theme "A look at climate change from space".

He noted that electronic water maps reflecting the hydrogeological and meliorative state of irrigated lands have been developed for the territories of certain administrative regions of Azerbaijan, and an information service has been created on a single network.

"An e-map has been prepared by the State Agency for assessment of water resources. This map has all the necessary details. Over the past two years, 150 modern water measuring devices have been installed in the country, and preparatory work is currently underway to install another 40 water measuring devices. The data obtained as a result of the measurements will be integrated into the E-Water Management info system online,“ he said.
