September 8, Fineko/abc.az. For the past 8 months of 2023, 219,024 tourists visited the national parks. Although the majority of visitors to national parks are local tourists, there were also a large number of foreign citizens among the visitors.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Ministry of Ecology & Natural Resources that national parks Geigel, Absheron and Shahdag have been visited by the largest number of tourists over the past period.

Azerbaijan is numbering 10 national parks, 10 state reserves and 24 state wildlife sanctuaries.
