July 27, Fineko/abc.az. The number of hotel and hotel-type overnight stays in Azerbaijan in the 1st half of 2026 decreased by 8.3% versus Jan-Jun 2025, reaching 1.807 million.

According to the State Statistics Committee, 58.8% of the total number of overnight stays was recorded in Baku, 5.9% in Gusar, 5.5% in Naftalan, 3.4% in Gabala, 3.1% in Guba, 3% in Lankaran, 2.1% in Khachmaz, 1.9% in Ganja, 1.8% in Shusha, 1.5% in Shemakha, 1.2% in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, 1.1% in Shabran, 1.1% in Masalli, 9.6% in hotels and hotel-type facilities in other cities and regions of the country.

Of the total number of overnight stays, 14.1% were from Turkey, 13% from Russia, 7.1% from India, 6.9% from Israel, 4.6% from Saudi Arabia, 4.6% from China, 4.1% from Kazakhstan, 3.9% from Uzbekistan, 3.8% from Pakistan, 2.4% from the UAE, 2.3% from UK, 2.3% from the USA, 1.7% from Germany, 1.3% from Kuwait, 1.1% from Italy, 1% from Georgia, 0.8% from Iran, 0.7% from South Korea, 0.7% from Ukraine, 23.6% from other countries and stateless persons.

The number of nights spent by Azerbaijani citizens in hotels was 738,100 (40.8% of the total number of nights spent).
