February 20, Fineko/abc.az. The number of foreign citizens who visited Azerbaijan in January 2023 amounted to 119,100 people from 131 countries (1.6-fold higher than in January 2022).

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that 33.8% of tourists came from the Russian Federation, 21.1% from Turkiye, 9.3% from Iran, 5.6% from Georgia, 3.4% from India, 3.2% from the UAE, 2.7% from Pakistan, 2.1% from Kuwait, 1.8% each from Saudi Arabia and Kazakhstan, 1.5% from Ukraine, 1.2% each from Uzbekistan, Belarus and Turkmenistan, 10.1% from other countries.

Of the tourists who visited the country, 77.7% are men, 22.3% are women.
