Countries that have frozen Russia's assets – EU is in forefront

April 14, Fineko/abc.az. The countries that have imposed the most sanctions against Russia have become known.

ABC.AZ reports that the first place in this row is occupied by the Cayman Islands.

So, assets worth $7.3 bn related to Russia were frozen in the Cayman Islands.

Joining the sanctions against the Kremlin, France froze Russian assets for 850 million euro, Germany - 95 million euro, Italy - 900 million euro.

The European Union has frozen assets of Russian and Belarusian citizens and organizations for about 30 billion euro as part of sanctions against Russia in connection with military actions in Ukraine.
