February 28, Fineko/abc.az. At Monday’s meeting with members of the government and his administration Russian President Vladimir Putin suggested to discuss economic issues related to the imposition of sanctions against Russia.
ABC.AZ reports that during the meeting Putin offered to discuss sanctions against his country and called the West an "empire of lies".
"I invited you to talk about issues related to the economy and finance. Mikhail Vladimirovich (Mishustin) and I’ve previously discussed this topic, bearing in mind, of course, the sanctions that the so-called Western community - as I called it in my speech - is now trying to implement against our country," Putin said, opening the meeting.
The meeting was attended by PM Mikhail Mishustin, First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Sergei Kiriyenko, Presidential Aide Maxim Oreshkin, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, Central Bank’s head Elvira Nabiullina and Sberbank’s head German Gref.
