Azerbaijan's Exports to Three EU Countries Surge to $64.4 Million – A 6.6-Fold Increase

August 27, Fineko/abc.az. In January–July of this year, Azerbaijan's exports to EU member states Luxembourg, Spain, and Malta experienced a sharp increase, reaching $64.436 million. According to the State Customs Committee (SCC), this represents a 6.6-fold ($54.603 million) growth year-on-year.

Export dynamics by country:

  • Luxembourg: Up 338.9 times to $20.250 million;

  • Spain: Up 5-fold to $30.345 million;

  • Malta: Up 3.7-fold to $13.841 million.

Total trade turnover with these three countries declined by 14.7% year-on-year to $130.453 million. Imports from Luxembourg, Spain, and Malta dropped 2.2-fold to $66.016 million. Overall, these transactions accounted for 0.33% of Azerbaijan's total exports and 0.67% of its total imports during the seven-month period.
