Brent crude dropped 2.6% to around $86.30 per barrel following diplomatic progress between Iran and Oman regarding the Strait of Hormuz, dragging energy prices lower and boosting government bonds.

Investor attention is currently centered on Nvidia's upcoming earnings release and key US core PCE inflation data. Tech stocks across Asia and the US surged in anticipation of Nvidia's financial results. Meanwhile, market participants are closely awaiting Fed Chair Kevin Warsh's address at the Jackson Hole symposium scheduled for Friday.
