Russia's Grain Harvest Exceeds 100 Million Tons

August 27, Fineko/abc.az. The total volume of grain harvested in Russia reached 100.5 million tons as of August 26, reflecting a 12.5% increase compared to the same period last year. According to the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, harvesting operations have been completed across more than 65% of the cultivated area.

Average crop yields increased by 4.3% year-on-year to 3.6 tons per hectare. The ministry stated that the current harvest fully covers domestic consumption demands. Additionally, sowing for next year's winter grain crops has expanded, reaching 482.7 thousand hectares.
