December 24, Fineko/abc.az. The Ministry of Finance is taking a number of measures in accord with the strategy of long-term management of the external public debt of Azerbaijan, approved by the country’s president.

According to ABC.AZ information, Finance Minister Samir Sharifov informed about that at a media conference.

He added that eventually the share of Azerbaijan's external public debt in GDP is 17%.

"But certain contingent liabilities on public debt taken by other structures under the governmental guarantee in foreign currency are not taken into account here, given that the debt-to-GDP ratio is below 19%. I believe we’re able to achieve our goals consistently," Sharifov emphasized.
