November 25, Fineko/abc.az. As of 1 November 2019 the legal entities and other organizations makes up 13.2% (1,051,624 taxpayers) registered in Azerbaijan. The number of taxpayers registered as legal entities increased by 12% (versus the 2018 same term), including 99.3% - due to an increase in the number of commercial organizations.
ABC.AZ reports that there were registered 1,832 commercial organizations in October of 2019 that is by 65.5% than in October 2018. 71.3% of commercial organizations are registered electronically. 84.8% of them, registered to date, are created in the form of a limited liability company and 1.5% in the form of a joint-stock company.
Over the reporting period 67,380 commercial organizations or 54.7% of the total number of commercial organizations were active in their work that means an increase of 4.7% against the 2019 relevant term. Compared with Jan-Oct 2018, the number of VAT payers in commercial organizations increased by 35.5% up to 32,820 and the number of VAT payers reached 19,744. The number of VAT payers grew by 36.5% (versus the Jan-Oct 2018) and their share made up 2.6%.
