September 23, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan is planning to construct a new calcination and anode baking plant to produce carbon anode blocks and support the expansion of domestic aluminum.

According to the State Program for the Development of the Mining (Metal Ore) and Metallurgical Industries for 2027-2030 approved by President Ilham Aliyev, sources of financing will be identified in accordance with the feasibility study prepared by the Azerbaijan Investment Holding and construction of the calcination and anode baking plant will be carried out jointly with relevant government agencies (institutions).

According to the document, construction & installation work will be carried out and the supply of basic equipment will be ensured.

Based on the results of the feasibility study, it is planned to put the calcination and anode baking plant into operation and ensure the production of anodes.
