BSE: Azerbaijan's economy resumed growth in 2nd quarter

11:46 - 22.09.2026

September 22, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan's economy returned to growth in the 2nd quarter of 2026, which supported dynamics of the non-oil sector and surplus of foreign trade. At that, inflation rose up to 5.8%.

This is stated in the bulletin of the Baku Stock Exchange (BSE; BFB) at the capital market of Azerbaijan.

According to the bulletin, rising inflation has postponed expectations of monetary policy easing. At the same time, global stock markets, especially in developing countries, recovered amid reduced concerns about a prolonged economic shock.

The BSE notes that high reserves, significant liquidity in the banking sector and low levels of government debt support financial stability. High liquidity also kept short-term interest rates low and reduced the slope of the government bond yield curve.
