September 22, Fineko/abc.az. Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov outlined key implementation mechanisms for the "State Program on Development of Mining and Metallurgy Industry for 2027–2030" during a meeting chaired by President Ilham Aliyev.

Highlighting the capital-intensive and long-term nature of the sector, the Minister noted that the state will leverage private investments, commercial bank financing, and international financial resources alongside public funds.

To attract major industrial projects, Azerbaijan plans to optimize tax, customs, and investment incentive frameworks while scaling up support for transport and industrial infrastructure. The program also emphasizes strengthening research and development (R&D), enhancing scientific capacity, and building tight integration between industrial entities and educational institutions.
