Annual inflation in Azerbaijan reaches 5.7%

September 23, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan has released its inflation forecasts for the medium term.

CBA's decision on the parameters of the interest rate corridor notes that annual inflation is within the target range and is moving in accordance with the forecast trajectory of the baseline scenario.

According to the CBA, in August 2026, 12-month inflation was 5.7%, which is 0.1 percentage points less than in July.
In August, the annual increase in prices for food, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products was 7.2%, for paid services - 5%, and for non-food products - 3.7%. Annual core inflation was 5.1%.

The Central Bank has left unchanged its forecast that annual inflation in the medium term will remain in the target range (4±2%).

At that, it was noted that the risks associated with global geopolitical uncertainty, rising energy and food prices, as well as the transfer of external price pressure to the domestic market remain.
