September 18, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Aug 2026, the country recorded a significant increase in tobacco production.

In the first 8 months of this year, 12.346 billion cigarettes were produced (15.8% more against Jan-Aug 2025).

The production of processed tobacco grew 2.2-fold and reached 2,578.7 tons.

As of September 1, 1.305 billion cigarettes and 494.5 tons of finished products of processed tobacco remained in the warehouses of industrial enterprises.
