August 25, Fineko/abc.az. In January–July 2026, total motor vehicle insurance premiums collected in Azerbaijan reached 156.6 million manats. According to the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, this reflects an 8.3% increase compared to the same period last year.

Breakdown of Premiums and Claims:

• Insurance Premiums (156.6M manats): Compulsory motor insurance accounted for 111.4 million manats of total collections, while voluntary motor insurance contributed 45.2 million manats.

• Insurance Claims (113M manats): Total claim payouts for motor vehicle insurance reached 113 million manats during the reporting period, marking a year-on-year growth of 21.7%.

• Claim Distribution: Compulsory motor insurance payouts totaled 90.5 million manats, while voluntary motor insurance claims amounted to 22.5 million manats.
