August 25, Fineko/abc.az. In January–July 2026, insurance companies operating in Azerbaijan paid out a total of 671.4 million manats in insurance claims. According to the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, this represents a 26.9% increase compared to the same period last year.

Breakdown of Insurance Claims by Sector:

• Life Insurance: Claims in the life insurance sector reached 495.7 million manats (up 31.8% year-on-year). Voluntary life insurance accounted for 493.7 million manats of this total, while compulsory life insurance contributed 2 million manats.

• Non-Life Insurance: Non-life insurance payouts totaled 175.7 million manats (up 14.6% year-on-year). Voluntary non-life insurance generated 82.5 million manats in claims, while compulsory non-life insurance accounted for 93.2 million manats.
