August 14, Fineko/abc.az. Electronic public procurement procedures saved the Azerbaijani state budget 294.3 million AZN during the first half of 2026.
The statement was made by Mirza Mirzayev, Deputy Chairman of the State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control, during a meeting with media representatives in Shamakhi. He noted that the savings accounted for 14.7% of the total estimated value of the procurement procedures.
Key Performance Metrics:
H1 2026 Volume: Nearly 3,500 e-procurement tenders were conducted with a total value of 1.7 billion AZN.
Competition: The average number of bidders per opened tender stood at 3.5.
Multi-Year Growth: In 2025, total procurement volume expanded 1.6-fold compared to 2020, while e-procurement count grew 4.3-fold and overall value surged 5.3-fold.
Mirzayev added that integrating the single procurement portal (etender.gov.az) with systems of the Central Bank, State Tax Service, Ministry of Justice, and Ministry of Finance has streamlined operational access and expanded opportunities for business entities.
