Azerbaijan's GDP Grows by 1.4% to 76.8 Billion AZN

August 12, Fineko/abc.az. In January–July of this year, Azerbaijan produced Gross Domestic Product (GDP) worth 76 billion 817.7 million AZN, representing a 1.4% increase compared to the same period last year.

According to the State Statistics Committee, value added in the oil and gas sector decreased by 0.6%, while the non-oil and gas sector expanded by 2.2%.

GDP Structure by Sectors:

  • Industry: 34.5%

  • Trade and vehicle repair: 10.5%

  • Transport and warehousing: 7.3%

  • Agriculture, forestry, and fishing: 6.2%

  • Construction: 5.0%

  • Tourist accommodation and catering: 2.9%

  • Information and communication: 2.0%

  • Other sectors: 21.9%

  • Net taxes on products and imports: 9.7%

The highest growth rates were recorded in the information and communication sector (+10.4%) and transport and warehousing (+7.1%). Conversely, value added in construction dropped by 9.4%.
