August 12, Fineko/abc.az. In January–July of this year, Azerbaijan produced industrial output worth 38.9 billion AZN, representing a 0.3% real growth compared to the same period last year.

According to the State Statistics Committee, production and services in the manufacturing sector increased by 2.7% to 12 billion 943.8 million AZN.

Key Growth Areas in Manufacturing:

• Automobiles, trailers, and semi-trailers: +88.4%

• Pharmaceutical products: +53.9%

• Textile industry: +35.9%

• Tobacco products: +18.4%

• Paper and cardboard: +12.5%

• Food products: +9.6%

• Metallurgy: +9.5%

• Installation and repair of machinery/equipment: +8.5%

• Leather, leather goods, and footwear: +8.3%

• Electrical equipment: +7.6%

• Construction materials: +7.3%
