July 6, Fineko/abc.az. Saudi Arabia has announced the AlUla Manara project—a futuristic astro-tourism center designed by Heatherwick Studio that merges science, research, and immersive visitor experiences.

The complex will be located in a certified "dark sky" zone near AlUla, offering pristine conditions for stargazing.

Key features of the complex:

• The Facility: It will include interactive exhibitions, galleries, a planetarium, a restaurant, and a rooftop observation deck.

• Advanced Equipment: The site will feature a major observatory equipped with a 4-meter-class telescope alongside two 2-meter telescopes, making it one of the largest observation centers globally.

Strategic Alignment: The project is being developed under the Saudi Vision 2030 initiative, aiming to establish the Kingdom as a global hub for space sciences and sustainable eco-tourism.
