August 24, Fineko/abc.az. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is rolling out a new regional program aimed at deploying artificial intelligence technologies in sustainable infrastructure and climate adaptation strategies.
According to reported details, the overall budget for the initiative, titled "Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Infrastructure and Adaptation Strategies," is estimated at $800,000.
Funding will be provided through ADB's Technical Assistance Special Fund. The project proposal is currently under consideration, with the final approval date yet to be determined.
Covering several countries across the Asia-Pacific region—including Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Georgia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, China, and India—the program aims to strengthen mechanisms for identifying and evaluating disaster risks. The initiative is also designed to help mitigate the impact of natural disasters on vulnerable social groups.
