Annual inflation in Azerbaijan has increased

June 16, Fineko/abc.az. Annual inflation in Azerbaijan in May was 5.6%, while in April it was 5.5% per annum. The indicator is 0.4 p.p. below 6% that the upper limit of Central Bank of Azerbaijan’s monetary policy target.

In May 2026, consumer prices grew by 5.6% compared with the same month of 2025, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee.

This figure was 6.6% for food, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products, 3.9% for non-food products and 5.7% for paid services. And monthly inflation is fixed at 0.1%.

From January to May 2026, the average annual inflation rate was 5.6%. Prices for food, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products increased by 6.7%, for non-food products by 3.7%, and for paid services to the public by 5.7%.
