August 17, Fineko/abc.az. According to a Reuters investigation, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, Binance, provided Russian authorities with personal and transaction data of a Russian IT specialist who donated to Ukrainian fundraising campaigns.

Law enforcement documents show that the disclosed records were used as key evidence to bring terrorism financing charges against 49-year-old Yuri Belenkiy. Although Binance announced a complete exit from the Russian market in 2023, the exchange stated that it complies with lawful information requests from global law enforcement agencies in accordance with legal and privacy requirements.
