June 11, Fineko/abc.az. Investments in human capital in Azerbaijan are a key condition for digital transformation.

ABC.AZ reports that Advisor to the Minister of Economy Huseyn Huseynov made this statement at the Technovation forum in Baku on the topic "Sustainability and energy transformation".

According to Huseynov, transformation is carried out not only by technologies, but also by people: "That is why Azerbaijan attaches great importance to the development of human capital and invests significant investments in this area. Thanks to the 4SI Akademiyasi national program, implemented in partnership with American company Coursera, tens of thousands of our citizens have gained access to world-class educational opportunities in the field of artificial intelligence, data analysis, cybersecurity and other promising areas. Our goal is not just to use technologies. We aim to create new values with the help of technologies, promote innovations and form human resources with the knowledge and skills necessary for this.

"Huseynov noted that technologies are currently setting new rules for the global economy: "Technologies are changing the industry all over the world, changing the criteria of competitiveness and creating new centers of economic value. Today, countries are already competing not only for their natural resources or geographical location, but also for innovation potential, human capital, and the ability to implement new technologies on a large scale."
