April 8, Fineko/abc.az. The Cabinet of Ministers of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR) has been given new powers.
ABC.AZ informs that this is reflected in the amendment introduced by the presidntial decree to the Rules for classifying lands and transferring them from one category to another. Under the decree, the categorization of lands and their transfer from one category to another will be carried out by a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers in coordination with the Azerbaijani President, and in relation to lands in the NAR - by a resolution of the NAR Cabinet Ministers. Until now, this authority has been attributed only to the Cabinet Ministers.
The change in the purpose of lands within the category of agricultural lands will be carried out by a resolution of the Cabinet Ministers, and in relation to lands in the NAR - by a resolution of the NAR Cabinet Ministers, except in cases of mutual changes in the purpose of agricultural land under crops and perennial plantings.
Also, according to the decree, the change in the category of lands on which non-residential construction facilities are located, allowed for operation on the basis of applications made before January 1, 2026, will be carried out in accordance with this decree. So far, this period has been scheduled for January 1, 2025.
