August 28, Fineko/abc.az. The level of cooperation between the United Kingdom and Armenia will be raised to strategic, confirmed UK Minister for Europe Stephen Doughty during an official visit to Armenia.

According to ABC.AZ, this was reported on August 28 by the press service of the British Embassy in Yerevan.

The visit took place as part of Doughty’s extended trip across the South Caucasus.

“The visit demonstrated the UK’s commitment to strengthening ties with Armenia as part of diversifying its international partnerships,” the embassy’s statement said. “Doughty met with Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan to reaffirm his commitment to developing bilateral relations, which we have agreed to elevate to the level of strategic partnership. They also discussed recent progress in the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan and efforts to strengthen democratic reforms,” the diplomatic mission noted.
