UK begins increased control over cryptocurrency transfers between Russia, UAE and China

July 25, Fineko/abc.az. The UK has begun large-scale checks of cryptocurrency transfers between Russia, the UAE and China.

ABC.AZ informs that the National Crime Agency of Great Britain (NCA) has called on financial companies to actively share information with law enforcement agencies in order to increase efficiency in detecting illegal transactions with crypto assets.

In partnership with the Financial Supervisory Authority (FCA), the agency called on public and private entities to launch joint campaigns aimed at raising awareness of the risks associated with cryptocurrencies, primarily bitcoin and ether. According to the agency, more than $130 billion is laundered annually in the country, and the income of criminal networks reaches $15.6 billion.
