September 23, Fineko/abc.az. The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan has removed the Russian payment system "Zolotaya Korona" from its register of international electronic money systems.

The decision was finalized on September 17 following an application submitted by the system operator itself. Zolotaya Korona had been officially registered in the country since June 30, 2016.

This move comes less than two months after the European Union added the company to its sanctions list on July 23, citing its role as a major non-bank credit institution operating within the Russian banking sector.
