September 24, Fineko/abc.az. At a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, Prime Minister Ali Asadov said that one of the key priorities of the socio-economic policy implemented under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev is to strengthen social protection of the population, families of martyrs, veterans and low-income groups.

Within this framework, the share of socially oriented expenditures in State Budget 2027 is projected at 44%, while expenditures on defense and national security will amount to 8.8 billion manats (21% of overall expenditures).

Asadov also noted that after the Patriotic War, the return of former internally displaced persons was ensured in 47 settlements - 10 cities, 3 settlements and 34 villages. Currently, more than 93,000 people are living, working and receiving education in the liberated territories.

Along with restoration and construction works, a new State Program for the development of the mining and metallurgical industries for 2027-2030 has also been adopted in order to develop the non-oil industry.
