July 24, Fineko/abc.az. A draft law on venture financing has been drafted and submitted to the government in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ informs that CBA governor Taleh Kazimov made this statement at a meeting with expert economists.

He noted that the bill is already at the approval stage.

The meeting sides also discussed the matters of digital banking, regulation of cryptocurrencies and the venture capital market, the status of bills on virtual assets and venture financing, security in the banking sector, bank card fraud, regulation of online loans, restriction of access to data for foreign citizens working in the banking sector, and other issues.

In 2022, venture fund Caucasus Ventures was established in Azerbaijan with the participation of the Agency for Innovation and Digital Development, PAŞA Holdinq Group of Companies and private investors. The authorized capital of the fund is 11.3 million manats.

In addition, in 2024, venture funds SABAH.fund with capital of $25 million and INMerge Ventures with capital of $4 million were created.
