Non-performing loans increased by 37.6% against early 2026, despite a drop in August

September 25, Fineko/abc.az. As of September 1, 2026, the volume of overdue loans in Azerbaijan amounted to 721.8 million manats.

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan informs that the indicator is 36% more than a year earlier and 1.7% less than on August 1.

Since the beginning of the year, the volume of overdue loans has grown by 37.6%.

Their share in the overall loan portfolio at the end of August was 2.1%, remaining at the level of the previous month. At the end of 2025, the figure was 1.6% and at the end of August last year - 1.7%.
